How to distinguish the positive and negative electrodes of electrolytic capacitors

        Generally, there are four methods for identifying the positive and negative electrodes of electrolytic capacitors: bolt type electrolytic capacitor positive and negative electrode identification, solder aluminum electrolytic capacitor positive and negative electrode identification, lead structure electrolytic capacitor positive and negative electrode identification, and chip aluminum electrolytic capacitor positive and negative electrode identification.
1、 Positive and negative electrode identification of bolt type electrolytic capacitor.
        The bolt type aluminum electrolytic capacitor has a clear positive and negative level identification on the bushing, with the positive electrode indicated by "+" and the negative electrode indicated by "-". Most bolt capacitors are engraved with "+" and "-" marks next to the terminals on the cover plate.
2、 Distinguishing the positive and negative electrodes of aluminum electrolytic capacitors with solder pads.
        Solder aluminum electrolytic capacitors are also known as horn capacitors. Currently, all manufacturers choose the "negative electrode identifier", that is, the solder pin corresponding to the "-" identifier of the bushing is the negative electrode. The positive and negative electrodes of the solder electrolytic capacitor are also distinguished on the cover plate, most of which are identified by "embossing" the negative electrode, and some electrolytic capacitor manufacturers directly print "+" and "-" signs on the rivets.
3、 Identification method for positive and negative electrodes of electrolytic capacitors with lead structure.
       The lead structure electrolytic capacitor also adopts a "negative electrode identification", that is, the lead corresponding to the "-" identification of the bushing is the negative electrode. There is also a way to identify by the length of the lead, with the long lead being the positive electrode and the short lead being the negative electrode.
4、 Identification method for positive and negative electrodes of chip aluminum electrolytic capacitors.
       Chip aluminum electrolytic capacitors are also known as chip mounted aluminum electrolytic capacitors. Chip aluminum electrolytic capacitors do not have bushings, so relevant information such as capacity, voltage, positive and negative electrodes is printed on the bottom of the aluminum shell.
